ABSTRACT RESILIENT IN PARIS
Presenting Abstract Resilient during Paris Fashion Week marked an important moment for L’MANE.
A collection developed around resilience, contrast and movement was experienced in exactly the way it was intended on the body and in motion.
Against the backdrop of Paris, the collection brought together some of the ideas that were becoming increasingly central to the L’MANE design language: original abstract artwork, pleating, asymmetric construction and the tension between structure and fluidity.
A COLLECTION BUILT ON CONTRAST
Abstract Resilient explored resilience not as something rigid, but as the ability to adapt and transform.
That idea appeared throughout the collection in contrasts.
Structured forms met fluid fabrics. Precise pleating sat against expressive artwork. Strong proportions were softened through movement, while asymmetric construction disrupted otherwise balanced silhouettes.
Rather than illustrating resilience literally, these contrasts allowed the idea to become part of the garments themselves.
ARTWORK IN MOTION
The collection’s original abstract prints became particularly significant when the pieces began to move.
Artwork that appeared one way while still changed as pleats opened, layers shifted and silhouettes moved along the runway.
Sections of colour disappeared into folds before becoming visible again. Printed surfaces changed with the body, making movement part of the composition.
It was a reminder of something that continues to influence L’MANE today: artwork does not need to remain static once it becomes clothing.
THE PIECES ON THE RUNWAY
Across Abstract Resilient, different silhouettes explored the same idea in different ways.
Sculptural jackets introduced volume and structure. Fluid dresses allowed pleating and artwork to respond more freely to movement. Coat dresses brought sharper architectural lines into the collection, while sheer layers created depth by revealing and concealing the artwork beneath them.
Together, the looks created a dialogue between strength and softness, precision and expression, structure and movement.
A PARIS MOMENT FOR L’MANE
Taking Abstract Resilient to Paris gave L’MANE an opportunity to present its point of view beyond Dubai.
For an independent Dubai-born label, seeing the collection move in an international fashion setting was an important step in the brand's journey.
But the significance of the moment was not simply being on a runway.
It was seeing the ideas developed behind the collection artwork, proportion, pleating and movement come together in their final context.
BEYOND THE RUNWAY
Abstract Resilient did not end in Paris.
The collection remains part of the L’MANE world today, alongside the collections and drops that have followed.
Paris represents one moment in its story but the pieces themselves were designed to continue beyond it.
The runway gave Abstract Resilient a moment in motion. Its place within L’MANE continues beyond that moment.
